Brachiaria ruziziensis, known as congo grass, is a tropical grass. In the tropics it is one of the most common feeds for livestock. The grass is native to Rwanda and Eastern Congo but can now be found through most of the topics. Despite being an important crop, very little is known about this species.
The roots of this congo grass have many fine branches in order to reach as much soil as possible.
