From Simon Barnett
In this video, John Barclay, the Firth Lecturer for 2018, presented a fresh reading of grace and gift in Paul's theology – and especially what is found in 2 Corinthians. This shows us that for Paul ‘gift,’ ‘grace,’ ‘favour,’ ‘thanks,’ and ‘collection’ are inter-connected ideas. Barclay then relates this reading of Paul to the situation of Christians today – asking the nature of development and Christian engagement.
