One of the Collections Archivists for Manuscripts and Special Collections discusses a volume containing autograph manuscript poems, songs and a play by John Wilmot, 2nd Earl of Rochester and Elizabeth Wilmot, Countess of Rochester in the Portland Literary Collection and a manuscript copy made by Thomas Alcock of John Wilmot, 2nd Earl of Rochester’s The Famous Pathologist or the Noble Mountebank, 1687, which was purchased by the University in 1949.
