Abdominal examination in ruminants
From Debs Storey on October 10th, 2017
This brief video demonstrates the key points to include in a basic examination of the gastrointestinal tract in ruminants. Particularly including percussion and auscultation for a displaced abomasum/caecum is important in dairy cattle. This video demonstrates the procedure in a healthy cow and is without sound except for audio files included when percussing and auscultating the cow to demonstrate the abnormal metallic 'ping' sound.
